Sustainability in office design should be considered as an integral and systemic approach, rather than a series of isolated actions, says Horatiu Didea, Managing Partner of Workspace Studio. He talked to Green Forum about the sustainability trends reflected in Romanian office design and how Workspace Studio embraces the sustainable mindset for office design. He says that sustainable office solutions often come with a higher initial cost compared to traditional alternatives so products made from sustainable materials might be 20 to 50% more expensive. According to him, the interest of companies in sustainable offices has significantly increased compared to a few years ago and Romania is making significant steps towards adopting sustainable practices in office design. However, it is still somewhat behind the more advanced Western European countries.
